TESTIMONIALS

I’m tremendously excited to think of young singers without direct access to classical music training using this application.

Joyce DiDonato

Singers

nkoda is really clever; it's like a view into the future of making music.

Sir Simon Rattle

Conductor

This is a highly illustrative piece of programme music referring to Chapter V of Lewis Carroll’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. By playing the bass clarinet, the caterpillar ‘speaks’ his lines. The performer is therefore encouraged to use their full imagination with regards to articulation, agogics and gestures. Exaggeration and theatrical expression are by no means to be avoided. On the contrary, they are expected! Ideally, the dialogue between Alice and the Caterpillar – which appears throughout this score – should be projected onto a screen. German and French translations of this text included.
