More about Vivienne Olive
Vivienne Olive is a British-German composer and music educator. Born in London, she studied at Trinity College of Music before pursuing further education at the University of York, where she received her Ph.D. in composition. Notable teachers include Bernard Rands, Franco Donatoni, Roman Haubenstock-Ramati, and Klaus Huber. Olive has been recognized with grants from the Department of Education and Science and the German Academic Exchange Service. As an educator, she served at the Nuremberg Meistersinger Conservatory and co-founded the Days of New Music in Nuremberg. She was involved with the International Working Women and Music and taught in Australian universities. In 2005, she was the Composer in Residence in New South Wales.
