Hans Kox

Hans Kox was a Dutch composer who studied at the Utrecht Conservatory and later took private lessons with Henk Badings. He began teaching at the Doetinchem School of Music in 1956 and in 1970, was appointed a professor of composition at the Utrecht Conservatory. Known for his interest in the mathematical properties of music, Kox experimented with open forms and new intervals in his compositions.
