Barton Cummings

Burton Lorne Cummings is a renowned Canadian musician, best known as the lead vocalist for The Guess Who from 1965 to 1975 and for his successful solo career. Cummings was born in Winnipeg where he was raised by his mother and maternal grandparents. He joined The Guess Who at 18 and quickly became a significant figure in the band, contributing to its most successful period. After a rich tenure with The Guess Who, Cummings embarked on a solo career, producing hits such as 'Stand Tall'. His influence in Canadian rock has been acknowledged through numerous awards, and he has been honored with the Order of Canada and Order of Manitoba.
