Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach

Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach (1714 – 1788), second surviving son of J.S. Bach and Maria Barbara Bach, was a German composer who played a key role in the development of the Classical style. A harpsichordist, C.P.E. Bach composed in a transitional period between Baroque and Classical, substantially influencing the music of his time.
