Matan Daskal

Matan is a former Bat-Sheva dancer, there worked with Ohad Naharin and Sharon Eyal. Today dancing in Yasmeen Godder dance group, Iris Erez dance group and with Bosmat Nossan. Composed music for several full evening dance pieces by the choreographers directors and dear friends Tomer Heymann, Ella Rothschild, Bobbi Jene Smith, Bosmat Nossan, Iris Erez, Osnat Kelner, Tom Weinberger, performed by AXIS dance company (USA), Johannes Weiland Company Staas Theater Kassel (GER) and more. Artistic director, composer and conductor of Castle in Time Orchestra. Conductor of young "Mate Yehuda" wind orchestra. Holds a BA in composition and music education from the High Academy of Music and Dance in Jerusalem at the class of Professor Amnon Wolman, Esmuc Academy in Spain at the class of Christophe Havel and the Rimon school of jazz and contemporary music. A certificate soundpainter by Walter Thompson. Received grants from America-Israel cultural foundation, the Israeli Lottery, Rabinovich Foundation, Siday scholarship for musical creativity through the Jerusalem Institute of Contemporary music, MASH, and ACUM. Teaches movement, composition and soundpainting workshops globally in dance companies, studios, conservatories and Universities.
