Dai Fujikura

Dai Fujikura was born in 1977 in Osaka, Japan. He moved to London at age 15 to study music and quickly became a prominent contemporary classical composer. His work is characterized by dramatic structure and strength, influenced by his knowledge of cinematography. He had a fortuitous start, winning prestigious competitions and achieving early recognition from established ensembles and soloists. Dai embraced his Japanese heritage in his music, blending Eastern and Western elements, and became known for his use of spatial separation and collaboration with influential artists and orchestras internationally.
