Benjamin Britten

Edward Benjamin Britten, Baron Britten OM CH was an English composer, conductor, and pianist, central to 20th-century British classical music. His notable works include 'Peter Grimes,' 'War Requiem,' and 'The Young Person's Guide to the Orchestra.' He studied at the Royal College of Music in London and gained significant public attention with his choral work 'A Boy was Born.' Born in Lowestoft, Suffolk, as the youngest of four children to a dentist, he emerged as a prominent figure in operatic, orchestral, chamber, and vocal music genres.
